We got a chance to sit down with him and ask him a few of our Ferrvor questions about menswear, fashion, and what makes Chris Wood tick.

Chris, good to see you! Being a menswear focused magazine, have to ask, what is your approach on menswear?
I try to keep it easy and not have to work too hard. It should never look like the clothes are wearing me.

What’s Chris Wood personal style like?
I feel most comfortable in boots, jeans, and a t-shirt. I’ll throw on a casual button-down or leather jacket if it’s cold. My mother teases me because my clothing is mostly black and gray, but hey, if it ain’t broke…

The Vampire Diaries alum Chris Wood has booked a recurring role opposite AnnaSophia Robb on the second season of PBS’ Mercy Street. Wood will play Captain Lance Van Der Berg, a handsome young Union captain lodging at the Green home when he strikes up a budding romance with Alice Green (Robb).

The period drama series tells the story of two volunteer nurses working on opposite sides of the Civil War. Best known for his role as Kai on Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries, Wood recurred on The Carrie Diaries and can be seen in The CW’s Containment. He’s repped by CAA and Brookside Artist Management.
